Who I Am.
I am a lover of cooking, books, sports, and technology. I am a very disciplined and responsible person, although occasionally forgetful, with an investigative spirit. I am creative and entrepreneurial, with a great passion for teaching and learning. I possess a high degree of empathy and am dedicated to my work.
I have experience in technical support for both hardware and software, help desk management, and server administration on platforms such as Windows, Linux, MacOS, VMware, VirtualBox, and Docker. I am proficient with office tools, MS Azure, AWS, and web development. I also handle version control systems like Git and manage CMS platforms like PrestaShop and WordPress.
My experience extends to agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and I have a solid background in IT security, covering database security, pentesting, OWASP standards, firewall administration, distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) protection, sandboxing, and antispam systems.

Entrepreneurship.
Once I retired from my military career as a deputy marine in the ASPC company, performing administrative functions within the Colombian Navy, I founded my own startup on December 10, 2007. The project, called Sputnik Web, was inspired by the name of the first artificial satellite of mankind and a magazine of the same name that I used to read in the private family library collection, corresponding to articles from the 70's, 80's and 90's, and of course my favorite German radio station also called Sputnik Rock Music.

Throughout my professional career and working life, I have had significant interactions with several important contracts in different sectors, both private and public. My participation in multiple migration and transformation schemes of technological infrastructure platforms has allowed me to explore different architectural options at a technological level. This has led to an extensive exploration and acquisition of basic knowledge in the management of IT systems, developing empirical knowledge and learning capabilities.
During this process, I have discovered new hybridization barriers between on-land and cloud ecosystems, collaborating with excellent firms and companies both in the technology industry and other sectors.

Sputnik Web is dedicated exclusively to provide consulting services for the creation of virtual stores and commercial websites for local small businesses, as well as basic status of proponent for contracts with the Colombian public sector.
These small business consulting services are offered during my free time and do not interfere with my professional responsibilities and commitments to larger companies.
This separation ensures that my work with Sputnik Web remains entirely distinct from my corporate commitments, which focus on larger-scale IT consulting, cloud management and security operations. By maintaining clear boundaries between these activities, I am able to provide high quality service to both small local clients through Sputnik Web and larger corporate clients in my core professional roles.
